The Sandbox, one of the leading blockchain-based gaming platforms, has announced its partnership with BlockchainSpace. BlockchainSpace is a metaverse platform that claims to be the “guild hub of the metaverse.”

Through this partnership, BlockchainSpace seeks to increase the number of guilds and players on the platform by tapping into the potential of the virtual world developed by The Sandbox.

As aforementioned, BlockchainSpace claims to be the hub of the metaverse. The platform offers access to infrastructure and technology related to the metaverse. The firm will gain access to the 2600 guilds and 680,000 players available on The Sandbox through this partnership.

BlockchainSpace offers a guild infrastructure that allows the platform to track the interaction level between players. It also allows players around the world to interact through its network.

This is the second time that the two organizations are working together. The two have worked together before to boost their presence in the Philippine community, which is big on blockchain gaming. The two firms created the voxel non-fungible token (NFT) art contests and other projects through this partnership.

The recent partnership will aim to bring more guilds and players into The Sandbox.

“Moreover, it is a valuable showcase for BlockchainSpace’s guild infrastructure and network and how it can scale to projects on The Sandbox level. Scaling communities for NFT games is a crucial aspect of building and expanding the appeal of the metaverse,” the announcement stated.

The Sandbox is making it big in the metaverse

The Sandbox has been making major moves regarding the metaverse, seeing its native SAND token gaining in value. Last month, The Sandbox announced raising $93 million in a funding round led by Softbank’s Vision Fund 2.

The other investors involved in that funding round include Animoca Brands, Liberty City Ventures, Samsung Next, True Global Ventures and Polygon Studios.

The boom of the non-fungible token (NFT) and the metaverse has been attributed to the immense growth of the metaverse. The platform has attracted notable players in the sector such as CryptoKitties, Snoop Dogg, The Smurfs, care Bears and others.

The Sandbox has also seen growing adoption from different platforms, such as Adidas, which hinted at building its metaverse on The Sandbox. Moreover, the Chief Executive of New World Development, Adrian Cheng, announced plans to explore the metaverse by investing in The Sandbox. Cheng also stated that he would acquire the largest piece of digital land.
