83 More celebrities are showing an increased interest in the NFT space lately. This time, influential American rapper DeAndre Cortez Way joined the craze with the launch of Cardano-powered NFTs. DeAndre, nicknamed “Soulja Boy”, added a sign called Bitcoin to the “Young Draco” album. In the track, he stated that he bought Bitcoin when the price was $6,000, adding that he owns both BFT and LTC.
Soulja Boy Shows More Interests In NFTs
And in January 2021, he sought advice from his Twitter followers on what crypto-asset he should buy. Last week, Soulja again asked his Twitter followers what type of Cardano NFTs he should buy. He joined the NFT marketplace OpenSEa in April 2021 and has a “super exclusive collectible” known as “Crank That”. The collectible has been offered for sale on the OpenSea platform with a price of 5 ETH. The sale is going to run until June 12.
Soulja is not the only rapper with an interest in the NFT space. Rapper “Snoop Dogg” is another popular artist that has rolled out an NFT collection. He and his son, “Champ Medici” launched their collection in collaboration with the NFT project Clay Mates. These are characters that are brought to life in stop motion animation before they are re-homed on the blockchain as CNFTs.
“I want to be the first major in the metaverse so Death Row will be an NFT label,” Snoop stated while rolling out the NFT collection.
Last month, Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus tweeted that he believes in the Cardano community. He has shown repeated interest in the crypto and NFT space.
NFTs Attract More Attention From Celebrities
Non-fungible tokens have become very popular over the past year. Even those who earlier dismissed the likelihood of entering the industry are now taking a u-turn.
Last week, superstar rapper Kanye West indicated an interest in the NFT space, after previously declaring an ant-NFT stance.
The rapper is planning to mint his NFT collection following the filing of 17 new trademarks for the Yeezus brand. Kanye, who is now called Ye, filed for the trademarks with the United States Patent and Trademark Office
